My personal opinions and concerns:

1. Concerns about the clew attachment and luff tension (sail does not currently attach to the boom)
2. Is the boom beefy enough?
3. Is the tramp reinforced for it?
4. How does a mushy tramp affect performance?

and one that cannot be overcome is:

5. The tramp is too small for 2-up and center sheeting grin

That being said, I have never tried it.
