I have also raised my mast that way.
Just angling the boat to the trailer and use the trailer for mast support.

Personally I feel safer with the trap wires tied off when raising over the bows.

I know that the voices in my head aint real,
but they have some pretty good ideas.
There is no such thing as a quick fix and I've never had free lunch!
