Yeah those springs are a bitch. I've replaced one already, and now I've safety wired mine into those pivot pins.
Glad to see that the captain owned up.... of course, presuming he was the owner of a 75 foot motor yacht, $315 is a drop in the bucket.
Were you able to avoid him, or was this a narrow body of water where you couldn't get out of his way?
