Kris, I would use the fiberglass rod instead of the boltrope. Todd, maybe there are some variances in the hulls. I think our boats were the same year too. Mine is an 01 and I had Tony Morrelli do my first tramp and he gave me the slugs that I use today. I get that thing tighter than a snare drum and havent had any issues with it.
