Ended up sailing across the pacific and was befriended by polynesian natives who hated christians and occasionally killed and ate natives of surrounding islands. A french naval ship would cruise by and shell the higher mountains as a show of ownership. They finally realized their welcome was worn out and left in the dark of night. The man is a lawyer... it is a good read...true story.
