Taylor Reiss and Matthew Whitehead, flying their F 16 Viper, stole the air - show on the waters of Santa Rosa Sound after five races today before the wind ReallY picked up.

Other than during a temporary capsize, the two youth sailors, sailed boat for boat with the NACRA 20 gaggle.

Reiss and Whithead claimed first in the F 16 Class, and John McDonald and Darren captured the F 18 prize.

The NACRA 20 Class proved to be a real "change of guard" since no boat was able to really break away and find consistency in the building pressure. Kirk and Glenn lost a tie breaker against Mike and Holly for third. Charlie Harp and Tom Whitehurst jumped out of prison in the early races, but Charlie Trinque and Joe ran away with the wind during the building breeze.

I would like to share many Mahalos to Bubba Barberi (mark set officer) and his crew, Sawyer and his crew for patroling the leeward mark (with John Williams' previously owned center console). and the Great crew aboard our powercat 32: Jeff Folds, Helm, Michael Craighead, horn and anchor, Mike Pedersen, Flags, and hugs with this > our lovely and hard - working scribes, Cindy McBride and Leigh Knox.
