Man, you sure an AHPC hater since the original guy left(his name eludes me at the moment, haven't had my coffee).
So, I'm guessing you are going to stick with the Taipan for the rest of your life.
OK, so what their hulls are made some where else. I live in the USA and a lot of OUR USA vehichles parts are manufactured in other countries and then imported here. And they are still called USA made vehicles. I agree that's a bunch of crap, but that's not going to make me stop buying them. They are decent vehicles and all of mine have been "USA" made.
Why can't the new AHPC boats be that way in your mind? I've got an AHPC boat and from what I can tell the build quality is top notch.
Hell, HOBIE cat is an American company, but the Wildcat and Tiger are manufactured somewhere else.
You need to loose your hurt feelings and get on with life instead of just beating up on something because it didn't go YOUR way.
BTW, they didn't fit my hulls out in Australia, they shipped them directly from Thailand to the USA and then they were put together......
Huh? Not a AHPC hater at all. You probably do need that coffee. Just a question on their business case. Especially since I live in Asia and know a lot of the people involved in building boats about the myself.
But good you had the option of fit out yourself. Much more preferable as you can set up how you want rather than how someone else wants.
