Greetings:

Can anyone here help me? I am looking at two different NACRA 5.8 sailboats. One a an 84 and the other an 87.

The owner of the 87 is saying that "the older glass layup boats and not as good as the newer foam core boats and are also heavier than the newer ones." Is this statement true, or am I getting a driven by a little old lady pitch.

Both are equal in price and condition so that wont be a major variable in my decision.
