I have been presented with an opportunity to pick up a Hobie 20 that has been unused and sitting in a field for the past 5 years for a fire sale bargain basement price. Going into this I am looking to replace all the standing/running rigging, new tramp and a few other odds and ends to the tune of about $1200 to get the boat back on the water.

Are there any problem areas with this boat I need to be cognoscente about regarding the tip of the mast, problem areas with the hulls, or the rudder/helm assembly?

I have absolutely no experience with the Hobie brand with the exception of sailing on a few in the past.
