Qualifications: 15 to 18 ft, one person sailor, lake sailing in Pacific Northwest, most materials locally purchased, designed for speed, ease, and budget(2000.00+ to start). A beginner home build for a novice wood worker and a beginning sailor. Question: 1.What model boat, currently in production, would provide for a good template for this build? 2.What advanced details of design must be mastered in order to put forth the best effort. 3. Is it possible to do this build in wood, hulls specifically?
