Once,(when I was young, 25 years ago), capsizing was for me a normal thing to happen each time I was sailing on the sea. My speciality was total turtle, upside down, far from the coast.
But now I'm 65 and fearfully try to avoid each capsizing!!
I´m not sure if you can see on my videos the special pole which I take with me. It´s bounded against the front beam and can easely be disconnected.
It´s like a fork at the end and one side is put against the backside corner of the frontbeam (which is standing up when capsized) and the other side is connected to the uphaulline.
So the principle is to have more leverage when righting.
By the way, I use the pole also for righting and letting down the mast on the beach. (I have to do that each time)
