I realized that my 2 year old 8-1 wasn't auto ratcheting. I called harken they said "send it in we will fix or replace it". I asked if i need a receipt or how long the warranter was.. they said "nope/doesn't matter". they were great and promptly sent it back with a new center (ratchet) block.. it was assembled back wards but i realized this and fixed it right away.
