Hi, It's me again. So where is everyone? Only 6 boats at the around Shelter Island race this year - not a good sign. I went dwon to Heckscher during the week one day, and it was a ghost town (albeit, it was late September - but this IS the best sailing time, isn't it?). What an incredible place on the Earth Field 7 at Heckscher is. You couldn't ask for a better spot for cat sailing. I was awestruck with the beauty of the place when I went there, wishing I had my boat with me. (I was just passing by). So no mast-up storage? Who cares - it never bothered us before. Attached is a photo from 1985 - 300 cats at Heckscher!
Does anyone have a good number for Jim Mathews? He called, but the number I received in his message doesn't seem to work.
