There seems to be some bad press floating around this forum about SLO Sail and Canvas, i thought i would share my experience.

I needed a custom tramp built for my Nacra 5.8 project. I have widened the boat to 11.5 feet, and needed a new tramp to fit. Here's a link to the build thread: http://www.catsailor.com/forums/ubbthreads.php?ubb=showflat&Number=268928#Post268928

After getting the project to the point of needing a tramp, I decided to contact SLO sail and canvas. I dealt with Andrew, and had a great experience. He helped in the conceptualization process, and we worked collaboratively to design the right tramp for my purposes. we decided on tramp sheeting for the jib, and a centered lace tensioning system to fit my design in the cleanest manner. I was certain bias cut would be the way to go, but andrew assured me that with the loads i would have from the tramp sheeting, regular cut was the way to go to maximize tension and stiffness for this wide platform. (after having installed it, he was very clearly right, i'm glad he took the time to digest the nature of my design)

then we added the options. Teflon threading, and an extra zippered bag in addition to the halyard pocket that comes standard.

Andrew always emailed me back the same day. I put a 50% deposit down, and within 5 business days the tramp was shipped. 3 days later it arrived at my door. Again, i put a 50% deposit down, and 5 days later it had shipped.

The tramp is awesome. It fits perfect. It is EXACTLY what i wanted. I couldn't be happier.

One more thing that's kind of important. it was 500 bucks.

Find me someone who will help design, engineer, and then build a Custom tramp for an 11.5 foot wide boat with two tramp sheeting points, teflon stitching, an extra pocket, that's built in less than 5 full business days, and shipped out immediately......all for 500 dollars, and i will buy you lunch.

I'm very happy with my decision. SLO's customer service is A+ and their expediency is even better. Their price is simply the best out there. In my case, about 65% of their competitors.
