McLube wears off after about 2-3 hoists. The Olympic guys douse their kites before every day of racing as a result. I use it on the spinnaker to spray the hoop and the highest friction points before daily sailing as its less time consuming and more reasonable $ wise than dunking a complete kite.

I do have Holmenkol in stock in the U.S. PM me for details. My supplier is/was European; when I ordered my batch last summer they would not ship directly to the U.S and they also told me that Holmenkol was only producing the product in very limited batches (twice per year).

The difference between Holmenkol and McLube is that Holmenkol bonds itself on a molecular level with the spinnaker cloth itself, keeping the friction low for a very long time and helping to seal the kite. I showed a 4 year old F18 spinnaker to a friend at the last regatta I was at and he was stunned at how crispy it was; this was Holmenkol coated when new and then again last fall. He informed me that his similarly aged spinnakers feel thinner than bed sheets in comparison and are totally worthless, so to me the product is worth its weight in gold simply to increase the lifespan of a >$1000 sail by a factor of 4-5x.
