Jetty Park Ocean regatta June 5 and 6, 2004; Cape Canaveral.
Mark Herendeen, Vice Commodore for Fleet 45 Space Coast Catamaran Assoc, invites us Formula 16 sailors (and Taipan sailor want to sail without a spi) to come out and participated in the JPOR regatta this june.
5 boats in a class makes for 3 deep trophies when announced sufficiently before the start of the event. Without it we race open class.
Mark, expects a good turn-out in both various classes as well as an open class. He mentioned that a few Taipan are coming out already and I think Chuck Harnden has sailed in all JPOR's over the last years together with his wife and also some other Florida sailors were regular attendees.
The regatta spans two days, saterday and sunday with friday as a short of setup day.
See the attachement for a picture of last years JPOR start showing Jennifer Lindsay having a good start and Chuck/Mavis Harnden starting on the second row. Michael C. is further to the left outside this frame doing a pin end start.
