I hear you've been training hard to get your overall crew weight down. 78 kg is it now I hear. Man, I think both Phill and I need to embark on a crash diet to match that. I think Phill has a head start on my now. I'm still 88 kg (or my scale is broken). But I have a secret wapon ! For the westland cup I'm baiting an ex-European champion that tips the scales at no more than 72 kg's. I'm trying to get him to steer and I'll put my weight on the trapeze line and spinnaker sheet.

I am completely with you on attractting a Spitfire to the DCC. I fear however that it won't be Dermot as he has indicated that it is unlikely that he will make it over. John Pierce will come as he has to deliver a new boat to a participating Dutch crew as well.

Only 6 weeks now ! And still so much to do.

Tony will you be bringing over your own camping gear ?
