12 boats surged through the surf at 10 am CDT to start the first leg of the second Great Texas Catamaran Race. Last year's winner, John Tomko of Sunsail II, lost the coin toss last night and had to start at the southernmost end of the line, but negated this disadvantage by setting his spinnaker while still in the surf, and rolled the entire fleet in a matter of seconds.
