Well, we have quite a few issues. I think it would be best to take them down one at a time.

First, there seems to be more of a hang up about what our "secret intentions" are.

Let me first tell you all what mine are. First I am not a dealer, builder, sailmaker, or employed by any of these or any other company relating to the marine industry. I am the CEO of a high tech firm based in Tx. I choose to remain behind the scenes because I don't want to be acused of "buying" a class or a way to win.

My objective is to try and HELP build an assoc. that will allow people to race heads up against another manufacturers boat without worrying about time differentials.

To date I have funded the formation, books, and records of the assoc. ,lined up a host for the website, hired an attorney so that the assoc. is represented, talked to various "business allies" about sponsorship, and am trying to figure out a method that everyone feels that they belong or that they are a part of the assoc.

To a point I am getting frustrated about people on the old forum complaining about "our" global intentions and how "we: intend to harm them. Also, I have gotten a ton of email asking for more than we have right now.

Basicallly, this is what we need ----- PEOPLE, who want to make a difference, volunteer, be officers, race boats, help in general.

I think once we get past this realization, then we can talk about rules and regattas.

By the way, I will personally underwrite two regattas in the Tx region and the national championships for the first two years. If we ever get this thing off the ground.

Just for the record I do not feel it would be in the best interests of the assoc. if I served in any other capacity other than a mediator until after the board is elected and I am not a canidate for that board.

I do not want to hurt the assoc. while it is trying to get going and I feel that my financial capability would be the focus of alot of comments.

Thank you
Steve
