He is also operating a "light kit" that includes rows of green lights under the tramp. During night sails you can hear the tunes, see the unusual light...and wonder what the heck it is. Those are also speakers on the forward beam. The ornament on the forward beam is a Gargolyle (sp) that has lights for eyes. ) Those are drink holders on the shrouds.
