Not exactly what y'all had in mind, but I recently bought Sid Meier's Pirates! (the new version) and have been playing it a lot. Being a sailor has really helped my naval battles in this game, and with nothing more than a 20-gun Royal Sloop or a 32-gun Brig of War I've been standing off to windward and pounding Large Frigates and Flag Galleons into utter submission.

The best thing is that when you get the chance to talk about the game, it sounds like a grand adventure!
