Mine is an endpole. I did not want any weight to be associated with it so I had to make it light. It weighs in at 0.75 lbs as I remember. I have not seen many rings, that are sturdy, come in at anything under that. The prototype was made with glass wrapped around foam that was covered with mylar tape. This one was made in a mold of plaster.
