Definitely sounds like a Hobie Skiff. I have had one for many moons and find it bullet proof. Some problems with it however:
1) The self-bailing **** is also self-filling, so plan on getting wet feet all time, if in the back of the boat.
2) The self-bailing scuppers have rotted out and were replaced several times, but still leak into the hull. Consequently, it always takes on water in the hull. It won't sink, however, because it is filled with foam. Still, when we pull it each time it drains a lot of water out of it.
3)Hobie sold the rights and molds a long time ago, and they have been sold since several times. I don't believe anyone is making them at this time. Therefore, getting parts from anyone is next to impossible.
4) To repair the scuppers, we used beer cans and flared the ends and caulked. But, need to do it again.
Good luck,
Rick
