Thanks for your input. Had a great weekend's racing. On the first day we had to wait until 3 in the afternoon until the wind came through. It was a about 13 knots and steady which allowed us to have great fun. We did not do very well as the yacht would not point well (what is the rule of thumb for good pointing) and was under powered. Between races we were given some advice which made a huge difference. The races were over a short course so there was little room for mistakes. Coming out of our winter we were rusty and made a few duff ups when tacking. The next day the wind was light and we used it to vary the set up to see which worked the best. Also we improved our tacking and moved from the end of the fleet to 7th position. Very pleasing for us. We found the starts a bit hectic. I need some advice on how to approach this aspect of racing. Tips please
Thanks all
