Thanks for the info Mike. I'm in Melbourne. I've been here for just over three weeks (newly arrived from Arizona). I was just looking (again) at the "catsailor.com" site and the aftermarket shroud lines are 1x19 and 5/32". Since, for the moment, I'm wanting more to get the boat on the Indian River (to go to the little islands) and don't want to spend too much initially (before I get a job), I'm looking into galvanized 3/16" 7x19 and to have it swagged at the local hardware store. That's about a 65% savings (although I know that the longevity for this wire is about 2 seasons...from what I've been told)...I can do this as I would expect to continue to upgrade as I can afford. I'm most concerned with safety and the maximum working/breaking loads of the galvanized (3/16" 7x19) in comparision with the Prindle's specifications (which I'm unable to locate). I don't plan on racing, but just want to "put around"...weather permitting. Any comments...anyone?
