It's not worth the trouble. Someone, somewhere will have an eye on an older 16 that's somewhere. The advice you've been given to mix and match parts is a lot better.

You'll find it tough to dispose of the old hulls; remove the gudeons, etc. for future use. If you get a set of safety glasses and a chain saw, you'll probably be able to cut it up and get rid of it at a dump.
