Looks like a plain Formula 20 boat to me.

It has a texel rating of 97 when the F20's have 96 (US I-20 have a faster Texel rating of 94 or 95 because of their entlarged mainsail)

I couldn't find any Eagle exploder in the Texel listing but I could find a Eagle 20S which has a rating of exactly 97.

The specs for this boat are :

Length : 6.09 mtr (F20 = max 6.12 mtr)
Weight : 190 kg (F20 = min 190 kg)
Mainsail area incl mast = 17.72 sq. mtr. (F20 = max 18.00 sq. mtr.)
Mainsail luff length = 8.92 mtr (F20 = max 9.09 mtr)
Jib area =4.71 sq mtr. (F20 = max 4.85 sq. mtr.)
Jib luff length = 6.22 mtr (F20 = max 6.26 mtr)

If the Eagle 20S is the same boat as the Eagle exploder then is appears that it is just the F20 boat of the Eagle yard and we knew that they were fast F20's when the first Eagle raced the cirquit some 3 years ago.

Mind you this yard has got to stop putting out different versions of the same boat. Texel now names no less than 9 different Eagle 20 boats.

Still the I-20 guys must be getting nervous, this eagle F20 is just a faster F20 boat than the I-20

P.S. I have mixed feelings about naming a catamaran "Exploder". Seems like good way to jinx it.
