I think you might be talking about the Taipan 5.7. This is an awesome boat - way ahead of its time. Unfortunatly for a number of reasons it doesn't comply with F18 class rules.

No Jimi is right - there was a Taipan F18, which was a modified 5.7. There are still some pictures of them on the F18 site. I think that the fact that the new Capricorn is faster than the 5.7 while being a 100 pounds heavier shows how innovative the design is. Imagine what a 275 pound Capricorn could do.
