Yeah - According to James: "My girlfriends coworkers friend attempted the race on a Rave Hydrofoil. He had full dry suit and a 19' bayliner with friends and supplies. They stayed along shore and bailed out in Oceanside at 4 pm" .
I think the people in the bayliner must have been having a pretty rough ride.
Also, although the wind was certainly a good speed/direction for foiling, I have always been curious about how well the foil boats could handle ocean waves. Do you know how we might get a first-hand account from the sailor?
