Quick summary-
The new f18 does not seem to mind the crew weight being near the back as that seems the way that it is designed. it does not like pinching upwind as that does not create enough pressure on the boards to gybe them.
It goes pretty well - we lapped the 2nd place boat [a tiger] in the club race! Especially slick downwind.
The build quality and the race prepared kit is FANTASTIC. Some of the tweaky bits are really cool. I have not had to add anything or taper any sheets or file anything down.
