I spoke with Hans who is organizing the race. He said that he met with the F16 folks at the Gulfport Regatta and they committed to come so he expects at least 5 F16's there.

He will have his NEW VectorWorks GCat F16 at this race. He tried the prototype at Gulfport and the furling screecher got fouled up in both race 1 & 2. That explains why he withdrew. This new boat is production boat #1 and will use a regular mid-pole snuffed spinnaker. Robbie Daniel is designing deck hardware layout, tuning it up, and will be sailing it in this race.

Ollie Jason says there will be some F18s (but no Capricorn yet). If the wind blows like it did last Saturday for the MachoMan (22-25+) we might get a chance to see an F16 vs F18 duel in big air rather than these light air races of late.

Look at the NOR and try to make it here. The weather is 80-85 all this week, the wind has been 10-30 for several weeks, and the water is 76 and rising. It's all for a great cause but that's another thread.
