I had Jeff Fortuna on the boat because Eileen was sick as she could be. She asked me if she could bough out of the regatta to stay home and recoup. Jeff has sailed with several sailors here on the Tigers and seemed as though he would be a very capable crew. HE WAS!!! It was a pleasure sailing with him. We were a bit more beef on the boat than I am used to but it was windy enough to keep us going good. Though the winds seemed to be strong enough, but we would have liked a bit more as the waves were quite large. It was just enough to get over them then down to the trough where the wind was light enough to worry you about getting up the next wave.

Sunday had quite a bit lighter winds but the waves were less as well. Always nice to take home the gold.

We are sailing out of Cabrillo Beach Yacht Club this weekend so I will have to go now as it is Sunday morning and it is about ½ hour away.
