I had a fisherman make knotted nets for a ridiculous price. A high tech solution I considered was to use knotless dyneema nets (www.net-sys.com/knotless.htm). It seems that it does not need any reinforcement in the periphery - just cut and use. This makes the price reasonable.

That's very interesting on the Dyneema nets not needing periphery reinforcement - that's certainly where the time must be in making these things. Thanks for the tip, I'll check it out.
