My new crew, brought in from the Tornado school, convinced me to prebend my P19 mast (it now has about 1.5 in between the mast groove and an imaginary line from the top to the base of the mast). He's not going to be present this weekend when I test the modification and I am worried about something breaking. The diamond wires are so tight! I was OK until reading in R Whites book that prebend is used on triradial cut sails and not the existing crosscut dacron.

I will also test my new 16:1 downhaul.

Am I just paranoid?
