It was the primary boat used in the junior sailing camp at Mentor Harbor Yacht Club (Ohio, Lake Erie), when I was a teenager. I think it was partly because the designer, Sandy Douglass, was a member of our club, and the builder (Douglass & McLeod) was just a few miles down the road in Grand River, OH.
It was a bit of a shin-knocker, but at the time it was the fastest boat in our neck of the woods.
I'm just curious whether this boat #4000 for the raffle is a brand new boat or an older boat. I would have thought they would have built a lot more boats than that.
