Years ago, on this board or one of the defunct bulletin boards, the tale of two guys crossing the Atlantic was often told. I think they started in France and ended in the Carribean somewhere. They realized soon into the trip, that this adventure was a mistake, but they figured it was too late to turn back. They were wet all the time and developed serious skin problems. At the end of the trip, they went immediately to the hospital.-That's the story the best I can remember. If you ask on the main board, I bet you can scare up the story there, in more detail.
