Stockholm, Sweden: At Fejan island the remaining seven competitors in the

Archipelago Raid finally finished after 500 nautical miles of almost non

stop sailing and orienteering through one of nature's most undiscovered

labyrinth of islands. Leading the fleet from start to finish was Team

Raymarine with Magnus Woxen (SWE) en Klabbe Nylöf (SWE).

The two winning sailors just competed against each other in the Volvo Ocean

Race on SEB and ASSA ABLOY. Now they teamed up to claim the overall win of

this unique event. Surprising second overall was Team Skanska with Fredrik

Adilstamm and Tomas Marimon on equal points with Team TietoEnator 1 (Neal

and Lisa McDonald). Skanska had a leg win and claims silver. The McDonalds

took the third overall.

Neal McDonald was very tired on arrival. "It is very enjoyable, a great way

to spend four days with your wife. It is a great mix of sailing, navigation

and stamina and obviously we lacked on the navigational side. I found that

incredibly hard. We had no feel for the place. Blasting along rocks with 20

knots of speed was a strange concept to us. But the best team won, they

never put one foot wrong."

Final result after five legs:

1. Team Raymarine, Magnus Woxen (SWE)/Klabbe Nylöf (SWE), 8 points

2. Team Skanska, Fredrik Adilstamm (SWE)/Tomas Marimon (SWE), 18

3. Team TietoEnator 1, Neal McDonald (GBR)/Lisa McDonald (USA), 18

4. Team Tidermans, Calle Hennix (SWE)/ Björn Hansen (SWE), 22

5. Team Pia, Pia L'Obry (SWE)/Liz Wardley (AUS), 25

6. Team Kempff, Joakim Kempff (SWE)/Magnus Nordström (SWE), 31

7. Team TietoEnator 2, Mikaela von Koskull (FIN)/ Yann Jameson (GBR), 41
