What's the rule on late starts? Is there a time limit after which the rules can effect your points, and how can you work this to your advantage? Recently we had a problem, repaired it and subsequently latestarted. There were a # of no shows for the race from the previous day. (# of boats had gone from 7 or 8 down to 4 or 5 in our class) Figured if we at least latestarted then we got last place points in a smaller class for that 1st race of the day instead of a DNS.
