Thanks again. I think I'll go for the turnbuckle option. It seems the least fuss and I can get the mounting tangs anywhere. <img src="http://www.catsailor.com/forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif" alt="" /> My spreaders have 3 sets of holes in them for wire location so I wouldn't be able to lift them off.
