Speed? - It just won the worlds. Nuff said.
How many in the US? - A dozzen or so (AFAIK) and growing.
Is it the boat for you? - Try it and make up your own mind.
Would I buy one? - Maybe. I'd look at what the bulk of the fleet is in my local area and run with that one. Tiger/Capricorn - both are good choices. Old Nacra - great value for money. New Nacra - jury is still out but the signs look good. If you are expecting any boat to magically put you at the front of the fleet - FORGET IT <img src="http://www.catsailor.com/forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif" alt="" />
