well we just lost 1 person due to the mossie not being quick enough and unable to keep up with other 16ft cats.

Cat / sloop rigged, it is a perfect platform to begin on. When you gain more knowledge, then a spinnaker can be added which will satisfy the most experienced skipper.
What other cat can you buy in OZ that will offer this for so few $$$$$. Very affordable spinnaker racing.
