Well, 60 degrees and 10-15 mph winds in Wisconsin on November 9th is just unheard of, so I played hooky for a few hours today and took one last sail with my wife. She wasn’t as thrilled as I was to be able to get out on the water one more time, but I talked her into it. We had a really great time and I’m certainly glad I decided to do the irresponsible thing with work. The wind was steady enough to hold one hull up in the air for quite a stretch but not blowing so hard that we. It was a really nice way to close out the season. Even more so with 1-6 inches of snow forecasted for tomorrow.
While we were tearing down, we had 3 different people stop by the landing and ask if we really took the boat out today… nope, I just thought I’d hang around at the empty landing with the boat and look like I was going to do something <img src="http://www.catsailor.com/forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" />
Anyway, one retired couple that stopped by to chat mentioned that years ago he used to sail an 18’ solocat or soulcat or something like that. I hadn’t heard of it and didn’t find anything on google. Anyone know what sort of boat he was talking about?
I lost a pintle from one of my rudders on the way home. I walked about a mile or so looking for it on the side of the road, but no joy. I did a quick search and found the Prindle part number, but couldn’t find anyone who seemed to carry it online. It’s a p18-2 and the part number is 4522. Anyone have a good parts source for this boat?
Thanks
