Sometime back i read an article by a major boat yard.

They claimed that by far the boats requiring the least maintenance were ply coated in fibreglass and epoxy resin.

(If I can find the article I'll post it for you to look at.)

If you think about it such a boat is just a glass sandwich boat with a structual core.

Such a boat built correctly will last an awful long time.

This type of boat has the potntial to be a great boat but it all gets down to the competence of the builder as to whether that potential is realised.


I know that the voices in my head aint real,
but they have some pretty good ideas.
There is no such thing as a quick fix and I've never had free lunch!
