I can't let go, best of this setup is that :

* Everybody can just copy any well performing F18 hull shape with the 83 % sizing factor for the udnerwater volume. This means we benefit directly from the F18 developments if there are any.

* We point better or can have 100- 83 % = 17 % shorter/smaller boards. Less sailpower due to less drag is a winner. Thanks to Julian bethwaite, whose 49-er and skiff spinsoff by laser made me think about why those boat go/point so well in light air. The trick is in less drag. It reduces all the loads in the craft, decrease side slip or need for anti slip devices and increases speed.

* Less drag just also means higher speed at the same maximized rig that can be put on a 16 footer. Ofcourse the F16HT won't benefit much by this for it is equate to F18, but under Texel genaker luff is unknown, so I'll go like crazy under Texel with that super high aspect genaker as well as that High aspect main that Texel is forgetting to rate properly. No gain for the PN guys though.

Great, great, great ! Yahooo ! I can already feel the wind in my hair guys.
