I do think that poor PR is the main reason behind the lack of popularity of our sport.
Since nowadays it is so easy and cheap to give visibility to an event, not doing it is an unforgivable mistake.
Anyway, for THOSE WHO CARE, I was able to collect some info (without hopping on a plane).
The 2nd best score of the second day of the US A cat Mid Winters (after Lars Guck) was earned by Roberto Casadei sailing a Bimare Vectorworks XJ (Bimare mast, main unknown). He finished 3rd, 2nd and 3rd (his score in the first day had been DNF, DNC, DNC).
The other Italian Teo di Battista, (XJ, Bimare mast and main), who was 8th after the first day (5th, 6th, 17th), continued his consistent track finishing 13th, 7th and 2nd in the last race.
Another top performer yesterday was Woody Cope (XJ, Riba mast, Glaser main), 6th after the first day (9, 9, 5).
I found these info on BIMARE web site.
I was told from a different source that Ben Hall (Geltek Flyer Mk2, Hall mast, Cogan main) finished yesterday 12th, 5th and 8th. In the first day he got a only a 2nd in the first race since in the second heat he broke the mast.
