For those of you thinking about racing the Lake Pontchartrain Multihull Championship in mid-April, keep in mind that downtown New Orleans and the French Quarter is less than one hour away from the sailing venue. Come a day or two early or stay a couple of days later. There is a lot to do.
The French Quarter Festival is April 13-15. Catch it before or after the sailing.
New Orleans is an wonderful place to visit with the family to see and experience things like the Audobon Zoo, the Aquarium of the Americas, a streetcar ride on St. Charles Avenue through the beautiful garden district, sample the BEST food in the world, and many other experiences that no other city in the world can offer.
