Perhaps we are a bit more laid back here in Tropical Far North Queensland Australia but I take about an hour to rig my Taipan 4.9. This includes wandering down to check what the wind is doing a couple of times during the process, having a chat with a few friends, helping someone else step their mast or take their boat off the their trailer or whatever. There's no hurry -- enjoy the sunshine, the veiw, socialize a bit, turn up a bit earlier if you need to. After rushing around all week I like to take my time rigging my boat. Then rush around once the race starts.

Rob-

Actually, one of the things I love about my Taipan is that it was DESIGNED for easy/quick setup (considering how much "stuff" it has on it!- Control lines, boom, etc.) what with the quick attach rudders, rudder connector and tiller, quick release spring loaded pins in the shrouds, etc.

Compared to my Prindles or previous Nacras where I had to go out and purchase all the "quick setup stuff" later and retrofit it.

Regards,

Kirt
