Good point.

Although when sailing two-up it is harder to overtake the F18's and F20's downwind. Pretty much the F16 1-up and 2-up have very similar performance around the course when averaged over the windconditions, while the speeds on individual courses and conditions may differ somewhat.

What I was intended to say is that a 1-up F16 under spinnaker will run down F18's and F20's in pretty much all conditions except the very rough conditions. The 2-up version is pretty much equal to the F18's. The fact that around the course time is the same between both version comes from the fact that a 2-up crew can work the boat harder on courses and in manouvres. This allows them to win back time that the 1-up version wins in straight line speed.

But again, the differences are surprisingly small and I could have just written "F16's"

Interesting.

We'll see how it is received by the sailors overhere.

The price to beat will be 14.165 Euro's incl. everything (delivery, taxes, selftacking jib, snuffer, pentex, carbon boards, etc).

Bring it on !

Wouter

(This can be fun !)

Now that is interesting as I was offered the First F17 in the UK, which I think is part of the EU; this was about 18 months ago.

F16 - GBR 553 - SOLD

(you don't really have to answer these questions. I know the answers)
(And I think you were offered the first F17 in the whole of EU not only the UK)
(I have not spotted a single one of them in the EU yet)
