I have recently bought a new Hobie 16 Le Race. I am having a problem with the hull pylons moving in the tramp casings. The movement is not very much but enough to make the boat creak and groan like an old frog and will surely make the fit more loose. I have tightened the tramp as much as I can and I am sure more tension will pull the eylets out. Has any one had a similar experience and any suggestions for a cure would be very much appreciated

If the boat makes noises like that you have a stiff boat. Tightening the tramp doesn't do much for the stiffness, you just bend the side bars and that means that you get less leverage when you are trapezing.

If you want the boat stiffer you could glue it together, but that's for the ultimate racers.
