I like mine better. It says highs of 81 degrees on Friday, 78 (& partly cloudy) on Saturday and 77 (& mostly sunny) on Sunday. <img src="http://www.catsailor.com/forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />

4 or 5 years ago we did it in 40 degree weather with 20 to 25 mph wind! It was the best racing I had ever done. I remember beaching at Rowells Marins and stripping my sailing clothes in the yard and the steam that came from my body was so thick for a few moments.
It was a Stone Cold Groove!

I think that was 4 years ago - I had my 6.0NA then. 5 years ago I raced on a 5.2

www.cayclubs.com
.
Holiday Isle Resorts
Mile Marker 84 (just 3 miles south of Founders Park)
Phone: 305-664-2321
They have five hotels on the property, all with different names. You call that same number for all of them and pick the one you want. They all have different price ranges. If you want a peaceful one, get one of the motels farthest north on the property (closer to Founders Park). If you want to be where all the action is, you might want the Tower Building (also called the Horizon) or the next motel north of that. They are the closest to the Tiki Bar, which is far better than the one at Gilbert’s. Holiday Isle also has restaurants on the premises and I think food at the Tiki Bar, too.
Holiday Isle is the big “hot spot” between Miami and Key West.

For more motels, go to the Islamorada Chamber of Commerce: http://www.islamoradachamber.com/lodging.cfm

Further up in this string, at the bottom of page 2, there is a link to Islemorada weather. Are you coming down Tom? Bring the F31!

Oh, for Andi, sorry, it does say MPH, not Knots. Still, plenty of wind for two up. I just sent you a PM, and I'm going out back to put the boat on the trailer now. See ya!

For all you people that apply credence to the wind information in a weather forecast 5 days out...I've got some swamp land I will sell you.

Yep, while they're forecasting the wind, go ahead and ask them for the lottery numbers since they've got their crystal balls out...

I just now cancelled my reservation at the Islamorada Motel, Thursday-Monday. Large room, two beds w/kitchen, $99/night, 1 mile from regatta site. If you need a room call them now. 305-852-9376.

I don't know, but my weather report says 10-15 knots on Saturday and "up to" 20 knots on Sunday. And it's not like you have to deal with big waves and surf. Sounds ideal.
